Composer
Simon began to explore composing at an early age, and had his first choral anthem, Speak, O Lord, performed at the age of 12 by the Choir of Truro Cathedral. He has written extensively in the choral and organ genres, and is also a prolific songwriter.
Simon's works have been recorded and performed by many ensembles and individual artists, including the Choir of Christ's College, Cambridge, and concert organist John Hosking. His groundbreaking Sonata for Electric Guitar and Organ received its premiere at The First Presbyterian Church in Philadephia in 2015.
In 2013, Simon was commissioned to write a celebratory organ work, the Toccata on 'Truro', to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the marvelous Father Willis organ at Truro Cathedral, and it was first performed at the anniversary concert by organist Luke Bond.
Simon is available for commissions in a wide variety of musical genres. Feel free to contact him to discuss your project.
